Disability Rights of Idaho (DRI) has asked for our help in monitoring accessibility at polling places around Idaho with a particular need for monitoring counties outside of Ada, including Canyon County.

If you are planning to vote in person, please consider volunteering to complete a check-list about your polling place's accessibility for persons with disabilities. It's as simple as introducing yourself to polling staff, noting some observations about accessibility, asking a few questions, and completing a check-list. There is also a brief training from DRI.

Volunteers may complete the monitoring on Election Day or during their counties early voting period. Volunteers are welcome to monitor polling places outside of their county. The more monitoring the better!

For more information or to sign up to volunteer, please email Jodi Nafzger at jodinafzger@hotmail.com. Once we have a list of volunteers, she will provide training materials and information about polling places.

Thank you for volunteering.
