Data Collection Committee Meeting

  • July 18, 2019
  • 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Concordia University School of Law, 501 W. Broad St., Boise

Idaho Women Lawyers recently formed a committee to collect data for purposes of providing a comprehensive overview of gender discrimination in Idaho’s legal community. Our present goal is to collect quantifiable information showing how women attorneys are compensated and promoted in comparison to their male counterparts, and how certain policies and practices can disparately impact the careers of women attorneys. Once we collect this information, we plan on circulating our findings through various platforms such as CLE presentations, articles in the Advocate and other journals, etc., so that we can raise awareness about gender discrimination in Idaho and identify practices and policies that promote equality in the workplace.

We would like to invite any IWL members interested in joining this committee to our next meeting, which is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on July 18, 2019, at Concordia University School of Law in Boise.  Please RSVP to Brenda Bauges at bbauges@cu-portland.edu if you plan on attending. For those of you who live outside of Boise or cannot attend in person, you are welcome to attend by telephone. We will provide call-in information to those that RSVP prior to the meeting. If you cannot make the meeting, but are interested in joining the committee, please contact the committee chair, Megan Sennett, at megan@smithmalek.com
