Join IWL for an Evening of Art, Community & Tribute!

IWL is delighted to sponsor a permanent art installation at the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights in honor of the legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Our goal is to raise $30,000, and IWL and its members have already contributed $14,400. The sculpture, by Boise artist Benjamin Victor, is titled “Transcendent Justice” and will be displayed on the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Tribute Wall at the Wassmuth Center. Benjamin is the only living artist (and also the youngest) to have four sculptures in Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol Building.

IWL members and their guests are invited to this exclusive event to meet the artist, to learn more about the Wassmuth Center’s mission, and to honor Justice Ginsburg. This reception would be a perfect client development or summer associate networking opportunity.

Date/Time: Thursday, August 25, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Location: The Linen Building, 1402 West Grove Street in Boise

Program: This reception will feature remarks from the artist about his process and inspiration, information about the Wassmuth Center’s mission, community-building activities, a silent auction, and an opportunity to reflect on Justice Ginsburg’s legacy. The reception will include appetizers catered by Wild Plum and a no-host bar.

Attire: Cocktail with RBG flare

RSVP: Requested by August 17, 2022

Donation: Attendees are requested to make a donation to the Wassmuth Center via this link: https://wassmuthcenter.app.neoncrm.com/donation.jsp?campaign=75&  The suggested donation is $100 per attorney/guest and $50 per law student.

All donations via this link will be used to support IWL’s sponsorship of this sculpture honoring Justice Ginsburg. The sculpture itself will have a plaque recognizing IWL. Donors will be recognized by name on the IWL website. In addition, donors who contribute at least $1,000 will be recognized by name on the Wassmuth Center’s donor wall.
