The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hosting an interview practice for students participating in the Saint Alphonsus Environmental Services Technician Pre-apprenticeship program. The IRC provides opportunities for refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and immigrants seeking citizenship to thrive in America. Here in Boise, the IRC helps refugees remake their lives by providing opportunities to build job, computer, and financial literacy skills. The IRC collaborates with Saint Alphonsus to provide a free pre-apprenticeship program for students working to gain English speaking and listening skills and provide training for environmental services technician jobs.
The IRC is seeking volunteers to pair with students, ages 18-25, and conduct practice interviews. There are 15 students currently in the program so 15-20 volunteers would be ideal. Volunteers will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and an email will be sent if/once 15-20 responses have been received and no additional volunteers are needed.
