Having trouble with a coworker? Need to give your client some bad news? Join us for a workshop led by renowned communications coach Nancy Buffington on successfully handling difficult conversations--moving away from conflict, manipulation, intimidation, or avoidance and toward listening, dialogue, and collaboration.

Nancy Buffington has spent most of her life exploring the power of the word. She taught college English for more than 20 years at a range of universities; after teaching public speaking at Stanford, she came to understand the transformative power of direct, face-to-face communication. She left academia, moved to Boise, and opened up a private communications coaching practice that uses a range of psychological, physical, and practical approaches to help people find their voices and share their stories. She holds an MA and PhD in English from the University of Arizona; she’s the speaking coach for TEDxBoise and TEDxTwinFalls, and a member of the Forbes Coaches Council. Her book, Ruby Lee and the Very Big Deal (a children’s story about overcoming the fear of public speaking), was honored at the 2014 Idaho Author Awards and the 2014 North American Book Awards.

More information about Nancy Buffington’s coaching services can be found at http://www.boisespeakwell.com/.

Lunch will be provided to attendees who RSVP by November 13.

You can RSVP by registering online or by emailing Shantel Chapple Knowlton at shantel.chapple@gmail.com
